RE: Internet alias and local part not working ~Mario Lopkistergon 13.Jan.04 06:16 AM a Web browser Domino Server 6.5; 6.0.2 CF2Windows 2000
Well there are a few things to recommend.
First Domino email has changed from R5 to R6/R6.5.
1. Do your users have an email address on their person document? If the user's don't, then does your global domain document outline to incorporate the _ or . characters? Secondly are using internet site documents (which is new in R6) or the R5 way.
2. You reference to it working was in R5 right? Have you check the documentation for R6 changes? Internet alias is now down as short name/User ID. Do you have 2 different domains? You are referencing email@example.com and firstname.lastname@example.org. Because in the Global Domain document you should all the domains you want SMTP to accept listed in the alternate internet domain aliases field on the conversions tab. Additionally the SMTP server is only go to look at anything left of the @ character when there is not a internet address on a particular (or all) person document. I just tested this to verify this. [NOTE: I have in previous posting also outline how domino will deliver a message. You may want to review the post.]
